SPIRITS OF WAIHEKE TOUR - $280pp

Join us for an unforgettable journey of tasting and learning about local spirits set against the stunning backdrop of Waiheke Island.

• Experience the unique taste of local spirits, learn about how they are distilled, and take in the stunning scenery all in one unforgettable tour.
• Learn about the island from your local guide’s engaging commentary!

The tour begins at the Matiatia ferry terminal or your Waiheke accommodation, where you will be picked up by a modern vehicle and taken to the first location of the day for the first wine tasting, Stonyridge Vineyard. Nestled in a beautiful valley of olive trees and vines, Stonyridge is one of the most romantic and exotic venues on Waiheke Island!

Next, we will head into Onetangi to visit The Heke, a growing craft distillery and brewery. Surrounded by four acres of beautiful gardens, you will taste pure grain spirits distilled on the island and enjoy grazing boards to share. Lastly, we will journey to the eastern end of Waiheke Island, where you will experience the corners, hills, and long views across the Gulf to the Coromandel and assorted islands. At Waiheke Distilling Co, you will soak up the expansive views and relax while enjoying a gin tasting board accompanied by a charcuterie board.

Itinerary

Your tasting itinerary will look like this:

• 10:00 AM – Depart Auckland on Fullers sailing to Waiheke Island (FERRY TICKETS ARE NOT INCLUDED). Alternatively, your tour guide will pick you up from your Waiheke accommodation.
• 10:40 AM – Your tour guide will meet you on arrival with a signboard as you disembark on Waiheke Island (Matiatia Wharf).
• 11.00 AM – Visit Stonyridge Vineyard’s cellar door. Explore a variety of award-winning wines in a rustic environment with aromas of the South of France!
• 12:00 PM – Visit The Heke, a growing craft distillery and brewery on Waiheke Island. Taste pure grain spirits and enjoy shared grazing boards.
• 2:00 PM – Relax at Waiheke Distilling Co. Enjoy a gin-tasting flight accompanied by a charcuterie board.
• 3:45 PM – Depart Waiheke on Fullers sailing to Auckland Downtown Ferry Terminal.

Please note: Itineraries are subject to some variation depending on seasonal vineyard availability and may vary from those advertised.

Important Information

• We require a minimum of 4 participants to run this tour.
• Any additional food will be at your own expense.
• If you are travelling from the Downtown Ferry Terminal on Quay Street in Auckland, Fullers encourage you to be present AT LEAST 60 minutes before your ferry departure to navigate the terminal and board your ferry to Waiheke.
